My Story

Adventurer showcasing the versatility of self-retractable athletic cones in the stunning mountains

The Problem

I was standing on a field in St. Pete, counting steps for the hundredth time, trying to measure out a 40-yard field. Step 38… 39… wait, was that 38 or 39? Start over.” Every coach, every parent running drills, every athlete training in a park has felt this. You know the distance should be exact. You know “close enough” isn’t close enough. But the only options were counting steps, stretching out a tape measure you’d have to roll back up, or just eyeballing it and hoping for the best.

I knew there had to be a better way. So I built one.

The origin

My name is Adrian, and I’m the founder of EZCones. Four years ago, I moved away from my family and rediscovered the thing that always grounded me: sports. I started writing down three business ideas every single day. Sports. Tech. Products. One idea kept showing up: a cone with a built-in measuring tape.
The first prototype was made in my apartment with duct tape and hope. Two months later, I had something that actually worked. Today, every EZCone is 3D-printed to order on a Bambu Lab printer in my home workshop, quality-checked by hand, and shipped the same week.
I still work my 9-to-5. EZCones is built on nights, weekends, and a belief that athletes deserve better tools.
